Stitch Thru Time started in the 60's manufacturing Old Fashioned aprons and heating pads. We feel aprons are a part of our heritage that must continue. Most of us have some memories of a mother or grandmother in her Old Fashioned Apron.
Our line has continued to grow, the aprons you remember so well. We now offer some beautiful child and toddler aprons in matching mother and daughter aprons, the 1940 retro apron and old fashioned Rose apron. They are also available in our Christmas and all our matching mother and daughter half aprons and holiday aprons .

Our design department is constantly working toward new items with an old flare. Ideas for our aprons were inspired from aprons of my mother, grandmothers and great grandmothers, designs from their vintage aprons. I have taken those designs and improved on them, kept the old fashioned look while improving on their function and beauty. It is important to make sure these vintage aprons don't disappear, we want to preserve them, and also the memories they evoke for our future generations to enjoy.

Stitch Thru Time as we know it now has been locaqted in Arizona and Utah. Stitch Thru Time is nestled in the beautiful valley of Glendale Utah. We are located less then half an hour from Zion's National Park , close also to Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

We started manufacturing old fashioned aprons and heating pads in larger quantity after listening to our customers and what they wanted. Our custom designed neck, back, rectangular and square heating pads are unique and can't be found anywhere else. Our neck heating pad is the cadillac of heating pads.
By improving the heating pad design, you are sure to love the coverage! Each heating pad is made specifically for a certain part of the body to fit comfortably, but they may be used anywhere.

We manufacture all our Neck body, and back heating pads and old fashioned aprons at our factory in Glendale, Utah U.S.A. Each item is checked for quality control.
Don't be surprised to find a flaw in your retro aprons, just like when grandma made them. We want you to enjoy them like you did when your mother and grandmother used to wear them.

Grandma's Apron
The principle use of Grandma's apron was to protect the dress underneath, but along with that, it served as a holder for removing hot pans from the oven.
It was wonderful for drying children's tears, and on occasion was even used for cleaning out dirty ears.

From the chicken-coop the apron was used for carrying eggs, fussy chicks, and sometimes half-hatched eggs to be finished in the warming oven.
The aprons were ideal hiding places for shy kids when company came. And when the weather was cold, grandma wrapped it around her arms. Those big old aprons wiped many a perspiring brow, bent over the hot wood stove.

Chips and kindling wood were brought into the kitchen in that apron. From the garden, it carried all sorts of vegetables. After the peas had been
shelled it carried out the hulls. In the fall the apron was used to bring in apples that had fallen from the trees.
When unexpected company drove up the road, it was surprising how much furniture that old apron could dust in a matter of seconds
When dinner was ready, Grandma walked out onto the porch, waved her apron, and the men knew it was time to come in from the fields to dinner.

"Grandma used to set her hot baked apple pies on the window sill to cool.
Her granddaughter's set theirs on the window sill to thaw".

It will be a long time before someone invents something that will replace that "old-time apron" that served so many purposes.
